Your home away from home!

Maeva! Welcome Here is one of the Pacific's best-kept secrets, an atoll dear to the heart of Polynesians for its preserved beauty : suspended between sky and waves, Tikehau is a crown of coral islets that form an exceptional, 26-km long lagoon. In the language of the Tuamotu, Tikehau means "peaceful landing," and it's easy to understand the origins of its name. There, nestled in a wild coconut grove, on a pink sand beach, the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort awaits you for a stay in paradise. I had the opportunity to visit in December of 2016 and it was amazing. From the snorkeling right from my overwater bungalow to the pink sand that glistened like pearls in the sun. The resort is very relaxed and laid back, but the service is very caring and personalized. While I know we are supposed to remove ourselves from being connected 24 hours a day, it was a delight to be able to post and email from the resort. The flight from Papeete to Tikehau was about an hour and we were met at the small airport and shuttled to the boat that took us across the lagoon to the Tikehau Pearl Resort where we were met by Anne Tran-Thang, the general manager. She showed us all that Tikehau has to offer from the beach bungalows to the overwater bungalows that allow you to sit on your own deck and watch the sunset. There is snorkeling, canoeing, sunset cruise, picnic, bicycle tour of the village, and scuba diving with Tikehau TOP DIVE Center. The Manea Spa will provide the extraordinary experience of a traditional Polynesian massage, based on 100% natural certified plants and Monoi oil. Sound like what you want in your next vacation, then I would love to share this gem of a resort with you.
